Current stable release version: cdparanoia III 9.8 This is the main distribution site for the Paranoia project libraries (Paranoia II an III) and the audio CD digital audio extraction application cdparanoia. Cdparanoia extracts audio from compact discs directly as data, with no analog step between, and writes the data to a file or pipe in WAV, AIFC, AIFC or raw 16 bit linear PCM. New happenings, releases and news can be found on the news page. The Paranoia FAQ provides an introduction to cdparanoia and the larger Paranoia project, as well as answers to common questions. More general documentation including troubleshooting, cdparanoia usage, technical information and programming manuals for Paranoia IV are collected on the documentation page.
